思贤滘水利枢纽在水环境整治中的作用

The Role of Sixianjiao Project in Improvement of Water Environment in Pearl River Delta

思贤滘水道具有调配西、北两江流量的特点。这个特点给珠江三角洲的防洪、供水、通航、治污、压咸等都带来很大的影响,自50年代对该水道提出治理至今,历时30多年,几经上下,引起多方关注和争议。最近,由于三角洲供水和水环境整治的需要,又提出该工程。本文从治理三角洲水环境角度出发,浅述该工程的重要性,并初估了工程的环境效益。

Sixianjiao Project has the feature of distributing flows from the West and North rivers. This feature has a significant influence on flood control, water supply, navigation, pollution control and repulsion of salt water. Since the fifties, the project has been disputed and shelved for more than thirty years. Recently, it has been brought up again due to the needs of water supply and improvement of water environment in the Pearl River Delta. In this paper, the project's importance was described and environmental benefits were evaluated preliminarily in the view of improving the water environment in the Delta area.
