INTRODUCTION von Willebrand factor (vWF), a large adhesive plasma glycoprotein, plays a central role in the adhesion of platelets to injured vessel wall and also serves as a carrier protein for coagulant factor Ⅷ (FⅧ), stabilizing the activity of FⅧ in plasma.
