摘要
悬棺葬,是长江以南古越族的一种奇特葬俗,距今已有近三千年的历史。关于悬棺葬,史志记载较少而欠详,神秘成分居多,古往今来流传于民间的传说更是无奇不有。为了解开这“千古之谜”、“中国悬棺研究”课题组曾走过许多悬棺葬地区,进行了大量的实地考察和调查,并绘制了中国悬棺葬分布图册,这对进一步研究分析悬棺葬的起源、年代、族属、升置方式提供了第一手资料。目前所知悬葬主要分布在长江流域及其以南的地区,如江西、福建、四川、广西、贵州、湖南、云南、广东、浙江、湖北。
