摘要
In completing the complactification of the Minkowski fundamental domain M_n of the n×n real positive definite matrix space under the n×n unimodular group SL_n(Z), C. L. Siegel had given a conjecture that d(A,B)-f(A, B)≤c, for A, B∈M_n, where cis a positive constant depending only on n; d and f are the geodesic and the reduced geodesic distance respectively. By studying the diagonal matrices in M_n, we succeeded in getting the proof. The detail will be given elsewhere.
