摘要 Ⅰ. THERMODYNAMICS OF SNOW AND ICE1. Water-Heat Transfer in the Infiltration ZoneThere is an infiltration zone at a certain elevation of the accumulation area of polar or subpolar type glacier. The snow/firn layer in the infiltration zone is permeable and considerably thick, in which the heat transfer is usually interlaced with water migration. When summer comes, melting occurs at the surface in this zone and meltwater percolates downwards, keeping the upper part of the snow/firn layer at constant 0℃ so that the heat is transferred downwards from surface by the way of meltwater percolation and latent heat re-
