The natural faults are formed from rock fracturing, which may be caused by earthquakes. The main intersection curve between the ground and fault plane is called the main fault trace, which is generally believed to have fractal structure. The complexity of geometry of a main fault trace or a fault plane, which deviates from a straight line or a smooth-plane.
