A Few Remarks on the Method of the Research Work on Lu Xun

本文针对鲁迅研究领域内存在着神化鲁迅和贬损鲁迅两种不良现象,提出必须坚持马克思主义的科学研究方法,把鲁迅的思想及其作品摆进他所处的特定的历史背景下进行综合性的考察研究,才会得出比较正确的,符合历史的结论。理论要联系实际,要敢于创新,90年代的鲁迅研究应着重研究鲁迅的精神及其作品的现实意义和美学价值。这样,鲁迅研究才能取得更加丰硕的成果。

In the field of research work on Lu Xun, there exist two unhealthy tendencies, either to deify Lu Xun or to belittle him. To counter these two tendencies, this paper proposes that the researchers should undertake a comprehensive survey and analysis in the light of his historical background so that a comparatively correct conclusion can be drawn. Meanwhile, the researchers should combine theory with practice and dare to be creative and original. The research work in 90's should pay special attention to the practical meaning and aesthetic value of Lu Xun's spirit and work in the present day. Thus, the research work on Lu Xun can be expected to be more fruitful.
