摘要 2. Stewart Graham Menzies Stealing secrets is hard, keeping them, harder still. Maybe that’s why spies like secret codes. Since the days of ancient Egypt, spies have used every conceivable kind of symbol as substitutes for letters or words. This mysterous manuscript is one of the kind, a strange mixture of written symbols and plant like drawings. No one knows why it was written and what secrets it contains after 600 years. Since the Renaissance, every clever country has had a place where secret codes are taken to be deciphered.
