食管癌放疗中的长期低热分析

PROTRACTED LOW FEVER DURING RADIOTHERAPY OF ESOPHAGEAL CANCER

在食管癌的放疗中我们常可碰到长期低热现象。它属于什么性质的一种发热,究竟要不要应用抗菌素,这是一个值得探讨的问题。为此我们收集了我科1986～1988年初治疗的食管癌放疗病人分析如下。

From 1986 to 1988, 150 patients with esophageal cancer were treated by radiotherapy alone. 31 patients were complicated with protracted low fever.Our observation suggests that there is a parallel relationship between the protracted low fever and the progression of the cancer. It implies that the lesion is not being controlled, developing or leading to distant metastasis. With infection ruled out, supportive treatment and specific anti-cancer therapy rather than antibiotics are indicated.
