The prototypes of hypertext have been tested for over two decades,but only in the past few years have commercial versions of hypertext support software become widely available. This new information technique will be an attractive approach to other computer based information systems. This paper presents basic ideas about hypertext,its impact on expert systems,its application in developing expert systems, its potential integration with expert systems and the benefits from this integration.
