CATHETER INFECTIONS IN BURN PATIENTS

本文报道9例烧伤病人,因静脉置管输液而导致败血症,其中3例死亡,为引起烧伤工作者的重视,称此败血症为导管败血症。发病原因为通过创面置管、经腹股沟处做大隐静脉切开、同一部位反复置管及置管时间过长等。并对败血症的处理方法及预防措施进行了初步的探讨。

9 burn patients complicated by septicemia due to infection of catheters during intravenous transfusion. 3cases died. In order to arouse the at-tention of the clinicians, such cases are referred to as 'catheterization septicemia'. Catheterization through the wound, incision of the inguinal great saphenous vein and repeated or prolonged catheterization at the same site may increase the danger of catheterization septicemia. A discussion on the management and prevention of septicemia of the kind is presented.
