Liu Shaoqi made historic contributions to the development of a Study-oriented Party both in theory and practice, shown in the following aspects: at a high theoretical level, with Chinese style and gorgeous wording, he became a theorist recognized by the Party while telling the members and cadres to learn Marxist theory as one of this Party's theoretical founders; with the spirit of keeping study, he played an exemplary role for the development of the Party; by emphasizing that study must be combined with practice, he made important contributions to the Party in building up a good learning style of linking theory with practice; with the Institute of Marxism & Leninism as a position, he tried his best to consider how to improve the theoretical quality of the Party members and leaders.
