英国翻译学者蒙娜.贝克提出的社会叙述理论把翻译与叙事理论相结合,为翻译研究提供了新的思路。严复翻译的《天演论》无论从翻译角度或是社会学角度,都具有极高的研究价值。本文尝试从社会叙事理论的角度分析严复是如何通过翻译建构并促进叙事及主流话语的传播,进而产生巨大的社会意义的。

English translation scholar Mona Beck proposed social narrative theory to translation and narrative theory, provides a new idea for the study of translation.Yan Fu's translation of"Tian Yan Lun"from the perspective of translation or sociological angle, it has great research value.This article attempts from the social narrative theory to analyze how Yan Fu through the translation of construction and promote the spread of narrative and the mainstream discourse, and had great social significance.
