Comparatively study of "Darling" and " The Purple Color "

回首20世纪,《紫颜色》与《宠儿》都是轰动美国文坛的经典之作。两位同样成长于20世纪60年的黑人女作家,都分别因这两部作品获得了普利策奖。尽管两位作家及其作品之间有颇多相似之处,但对于两位作家及这两部作品却鲜有人进行比较。本文将在文化寻根意识、对宗教的态度,以及颜色的象征意义等方面,对两部小说进行相似性的比较研究,进而找到黑人民族文化的生存之路。

Look back in twentieth Century,"Darling"and"The Purple Color"is a classic of American literature.Two black female writer who also grew up in twentieth Century 60 years, respectively, for the two works won the Pulitzer prize.Although there are a lot of similarities between the two writers and their works, but for the two writers and the two works has rarely been compared.This paper will be in the cultural root-seeking consciousness, attitude to religion, and the symbol meaning of the color etc, comparatively study on the similarity between the two novels, and then find the black culture survival road.
