随着多媒体的兴起,以现代学习理论、现代教育传播理论、现代教学理论为理论基础,体现了多种教育科学理论的综合运用和发展。多媒体教学是利用多媒体进行教学的过程,即依据教育教学的实际需要,通过处理多种教学信息(文字与数据、图形与图画、音频与视频等),以智能化的多媒体终端方式,来为教育教学提供优质化服务,这种方式往往是高效、交互、实时的,但在教学中处于辅助地位,多媒体本质上属于教学工具类。
