Yuyu and language teaching

语域是指具体语言环境下语言使用的变体。语域的三个显著特征是语场、语旨和语式。由于母语的负迁移和中介语的影响及外语综合能力、交际能力的有限性,许多学习者常误用英语语域而导致交际失败。本文介绍了语域的概念及语域意识在专业英语语言教学中的重要地位,并认为在语言学习初级和中高级阶段均应该增强学生的语域意识,最终达到恰当使用英语的目的。

Yuyu refers to variants of language use specific language environment.Three remarkable characteristics of Yuyu is:field, tenor and mode. Because of the limitation of the influence of Negative Transfer and Interlanguage and comprehensive ability, communicative ability, many learners of English often misuse of Yuyu and led to the failure of communication.This paper introduces the important position of the concept and awareness of Yuyu in the professional English language teaching, and thinks that the language learning in junior and senior stages should enhance their awareness of Yuyu, reach the purpose of proper use English.
