改革开放以来,我国大学英语教育取得了令人瞩目的成就,这与高校英语教师的努力是分不开的。作为英语教学的主导,英语教师在英语教学中发挥着不可替代的重要作用。而随着我国大学英语教学改革的逐步推进,高校英语教师也面临着新的压力与挑战。教师如何应对压力、迎接挑战,是大学英语教学改革顺利进行的关键一步。本文首先探讨大学英语改革对教师提出的要求,在此基础上提出教师应对挑战的具体措施。

Since the reform and opening up, English education of university in China has made achievements that attract people's attention, and college English teachers' efforts are inseparable. As a leading in English teaching, English teachers play an irreplaceable important role in English teaching. With China's University English teaching reform, college English teachers are facing new pressure and challenge. How to deal with the pressure, meet the challenge of teachers, is a key step in university English teaching reform. This paper first discusses the request of reform on university English teachers, on the basis put forward the specific measures of the teachers to deal with the challenges.
