英美文化缺失对英语阅读教学的影响及补偿策略

语言是人类交际的重要工具之一。它承载文化信息、反映人类社会的生活。语言和文化是密不可分的。西方文化在许多方面与中国的文化存在着很大的差异。对于外语学习者来讲,不可避免地涉及到文化学习。英美文化的缺失必然会导致学习者的认知困难。因此,英美文化导入在英语教学中尤其是对英语阅读课的教学中显得尤为重要,通过一系列的补偿策略加深对英语民族文化的了解来提高跨文化的语言交际能力也是英语阅读课的目标之一。

Language is one of the important tools for human communication. It carries cultural information and reflects the life of human society. Language and culture are inseparable. There is a big difference between western culture and Chinese culture in many aspects. Therefore, it is inevitable for the foreign language learners to learn the culture. It is particularly important to English reading teaching and one of the goals of English reading course is to improve cross-cultural communicative competence through the deep understanding of English national culture by compensation for cultural default.
