Innovating teaching mode to improve the quality of English teaching

经济全球化和国际交流与合作的不断加强,对高校大学英语课程的教学提出了更高的要求,大学英语教学改革势在必行。大学英语教学改革的重点在于通过实施基于计算机和课堂的新教学模式,培养学生的英语综合应用能力并增强其自主学习能力。作为大学英语教师,我们应及时更新教学理念,不断丰富教学方法,掌握现代教育技术,积极探索,勇于实践,推进和深化教学改革,努力提高大学英语教学质量。

In recent years the college English teaching reform at a higher-education level in China has attracted a lot of attention.This is partly due to its importance concerning the quality of higher education and partly due to its inadaptability being unable to satisfy expectations of society.College English teaching reform nowadays lays emphasis on the implementation of the new college English teaching mode based on computer and Internet.At the same time,it stresses the importance of cultivating students’ self-regulated learning ability and improving their practical language competence especially oral communicative competence.As college English teacher,we should update our teaching notions,enrich our teaching methods,master the modem educational technology and make every effort to improve teaching quality in higher education.
