Analysis of the role of narrator in Shiga Naoya’s novel "Kinosaki Nite"

志贺直哉的短篇小说《在城崎》自发表以来,关于其心境小说的特质、生死观以及人道主义色彩的研究比比皆是。实际上小说这些特征得以实现都离不开一个重要却容易被大家忽略的角色,即整篇小说的叙述者。立足于小说中的叙述性语言,通过文本分析,揭示《在城崎》中叙述者的作用。

Since the short novel"Kinosaki Nite"by Shiga Naoya was published, there are a lot of studies on the characteristics of mood novels, view on life and death and humanism. Actually the realization of such characteristics can not be isolated from a role which is easily ignored, that is the narrator of the entire novel. This Paper, based on the narrative languages in the novel, tries to explore the role of narrator in"Kinosaki Nite".
