浅析中国网络热词的英译

On English translation of Chinese network hot words

热词作为一种词汇现象,反映了一个国家、一个地区在一个时期人们普遍关注的问题和事物。热词具有时代特征,反映一个时期的热点话题及民生问题。随着中国经济社会的发展和科技水平的提高,大量的网络热词不断涌现,这些网络热词在给人们带来很多欢乐的同时,也给对外文化交流带来了很大的影响。因此,本文尝试对中国网络热词的英译进行研究,并根据奈达的功能对等理论,提出网络热词的翻译可使用直译、意译和音译的方法,以此让外国友人进一步了解中国的社会发展和最新的文化动向。

Hot word as a lexical phenomenon, reflects the problems and things people concern in a country, a region in a period. Hot words with the characteristics of the times, reflecting the hot topic and the livelihood of the people for a period of time. With China's economic and social development and the improvement of science and technology, a lot of network hot words have emerged, the network hot words to bring a lot of joy to people, at the same time, also has brought about great influence to the cultural exchanges with the outside world. Therefore, this paper attempts to research on the English translation of Chinese network hot words, and according to Nida's functional equivalence theory, to propose the translation of network hot words can use literal translation, free translation and transliteration, in order to make foreign friends understand China's social development and the new culture movement.
