Practicality·Morality·Relaxation——A Restricted View on Historical Appreciation of Landscapes before Sui and Tang Dynasties

隋唐以前的历史阶段 ,是我国古代山水审美的重要发展时期 ,其对后世山水审美有着重大的影响。本文试从人对自然山水的态度和人与自然山水的关系着眼 ,兼从哲学思潮的角度 ,分致用、比德、畅神三个阶段 。

It is said that the history before Sui and Tang Dynasties has great influence on the appreciation of landscapes of later ages, which is considered to be the most important development of ancient Chinese landscapes. In this thesis the writer tries to focus on the people’s attitudes towards national scenery, and the relationship between human beings and natural scenery. Meanwhile, the writer makes a bit attempt at the appreciation of landscapes during that paticular period philosophically. It falls into 3 periods: practicality, morality and relaxation.
