This paper introduces the technological principles and equipment structure of the 19 roller tension heat setting machine which is an important machine of the terylene short fiber unit.It expatiates on the difficulty in the overhaul project of the machine and the necessity of hazard analysis before overhaul.The paper lists the work types in each direct operation link of the overhaul and points out the dangerous sources and dangerous factors in these work types.The paper adopts PHA analysis method to analyze these trigger affairs which cause the occurrence of these dangerous factors in the process of the overhaul.It finds out the reasons for the trigger affairs and puts forward the preventive measures that should be taken before the overhaul.
