Objective To explore the sign of CT and MRI and the clinical characteristics of leukoaraiosis. Methods The clinical data of 80 patients with cerebral infarction and leukoaraiosis in our hospital from December 2011 to December 2012 were analyzed retrospectively. Results The CT performance of leukoaraiosis showed an decrease of both sides basic symmetric density, and MRI showed irregular, edge blur patchy and mottled signal,T2WI demonstrated a little high signal change, and T2 flair high signal change. Lacunar cerebral infarction patients with cerebral white matter had the most serious osteoporosis. The more severe brain white matter in cognitive dysfunction in patients, the more serious osteoporosis. Conclusion Leukoaraiosis shows typical appearance on CT and MR images. Cognitive dysfunction is proportional to the degree of leukoaraiosis.
