Philosophical Thoughts on Traditional Chinese Medicine Contending

本文对目前中医科学性争鸣中的相关问题进行了哲学层面的思考,并对争鸣中的非科学现象表示忧虑,提出中医理论的存亡是否真的关系到中国文化根本精神的存亡,如何看待中医学是中国文化的脊梁,存在的合理性是否等同于内涵的科学性,"科学人"应该不说套话、大话,中医是否科学不是由谁说了算的,批评中医与爱国主义是否对立等问题。文章认为,中医科学性争鸣的过程重于结果,科学争鸣既需要批判精神,也需要包容精神。

This article reported some philosophical thoughts on relevant problems in recent traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) contending as well as some worries on the non-scientific phenomena among contending. The article discussed the following problems:whether the survival of TCM theory is related to that of the fundamental spirit of Chinese culture;whether TCM is the backbone of Chinese culture;whether the rationality of existence is equivalent to scientific aspect of connotation;whether“scientific human beings”can just tell the truth rather than formulae or boast;who decides whether TCM is science or not;whether criticism to TCM contradicts with patriotism. The author believes that the importance of scientific contending lies in the course instead of outcomes and the scientific contending requires both critical and tolerant spirits.
