刀刃上的舞蹈——定义高血糖下限的学术问题和临床意义

Dancing on the knife-edge——defining the lower limit of hyperglycemia and its clinical significance

摘要 在医学的发展史上,人们对高血糖的认识首先是从其与不良的健康状态(如我国古代描述的"消渴症")相关而开始的.现代医学史中,高血糖所代表的最典型的疾病状态无疑是1型糖尿病.在胰岛素应用于临床之前,导致1型糖尿病患者死亡的主要原因除了高血糖外,还有与高血糖"同出一源"(胰岛素绝对缺乏)的酮症酸中毒.因此,虽然当时人们严格地限制1型糖尿病患者的碳水化合物摄入量从而减轻了高血糖的症状,但是无法控制的酮症酸中毒却最终在短时间内夺去了患者的生命.
