Statistical Theory and Practice for the Undertakings of the Disabled——Based on Analysis in Hubei Province

残疾人事业统计工作是残疾人工作的主要监测手段和信息渠道,反映了残疾人事业发展的总体情况,是各级残联科学决策和管理的必要依据。"十二五"以来,湖北省残疾人事业统计工作加大统筹力度,健全基层网络,加强队伍建设,提升服务水平,取得积极进展。为促进长远发展,应通过加强监测检查、沟通协调、教育培训,拓宽统计领域等措施,夯实基层基础,切实提升服务水平。

Statistics work is a major method to monitor conditions of the disabled. It can reflect the whole picture of the undertakings of the disabled, as well as a necessary reference to the Disabled People’s Federations at all levels. Since the 12th Five-year Plan, statistics work in Hubei Province has been attached greater importance in terms of overall planning, grass roots network improving, talents cultivating and service improving. More efforts should be made in enhancing monitor and check, communication, training and broadening statistics channels. These will help to build solid foundations at grass roots level and advance services.
