In the United States,most people with disabilities are protected by the social security system.Their rights and obligations are guaranteed and stated by the American Disability Act.Different government offices have various special policies for people with disabilities.Office on Disability under the US Department of Health and Human Services is in charge of general issues on people with disabilities.The office plays an important role in coordinating works and policies from other government departments and offices.
