巫咸原籍考

A Textual Research on the Birthplace of Wu Xian

古人的葬地未必就是其出生地,不能据此推定其主要活动区域,更不应据此确证这就是古人的原籍。巫咸任职殷商王朝,其主要政治活动都在商朝国都所在地中原地区进行,巫咸原籍当在晋地。

In general,where the ancient people were buried might not be where he or she was born.Therefore it cannot be deducted that the place where he or she was buried is where he or she was born or where he or she was living or working.Wu Xian held his office in the central government of Shang Dynasty and its capital was located in the central plain of China,which was where Wu Xian lived and worked.But the birthplace of Wu Xian should be in the Jin area,which was in the northwest part of China.
