安德鲁·芬伯格通过对传统技术理论的批判并借鉴它们的合理一面,认为技术不是一种天命,而是斗争的舞台。芬伯格关注技术设计的批判,打破技术代码所形成的技术霸权,认为技术应该民主化,扩大参与者利益。芬伯格进而提出工具化理论,以此来给社会的建构提供一种依据。

Andrew Feenberg criticizes the traditional theory of technology and uses their reasonable parts for references.He considers that technology is not a kind of destiny,but the stage of struggle.Feenberg concerns about the design critique,and breaks technology hegemony which is formed by technical codes.He believes that technology should be democratized and the participant interests should be expanded.Furthermore,Feenberg puts forward the Instrumentalization Theory,which serves as a basis of social construction.
