An Empirical Study of Learning Motivation in College English Listening

摘要 该研究通过问卷调查,测量91名杭州电子科技大学实验班大一学生的英语听力学习动机,运用SPSS13.0统计软件,分析受试者听力学习动机的总体情况,动机各个维度之间的相关关系。研究结果表明:受试者听力学习动机总体处于中等水平,绝大多数学生认同英语听力的重要性,半数学生表示正努力提高听力,三分之一学生对英语听力感兴趣,此外,动机的四个维度中,学习兴趣,自我效能和努力程度三者两两显著相关,兴趣和效能共同解释努力程度25.5%的方差,而学习态度和其它三个维度之间没有显著相关。 91 freshmen in Hangzhou Dianzi University involved as subjects,the study aims to gauge their overall motivation level in terms of college English listening and analyzes the correlations among various motivational factors.With the help of SPSS 13.0,a detailed analysis of questionnaire data reveals that the subjects display moderate motivation potency.Although most of them hold a positive attitude to listening,only half of them are trying to improve their listening and one third show their interest in listening.Besides,of the four motivational factors,there exist significant positive correlations among interest,self-efficacy and effort.Interest and self-efficacy account for 25.5% of variance of effort.
