Rhythmical Equivalence in Poetry Translation and Evaluation

节奏在诗歌中的重要性不言而喻。本文以尤金·奈达博士提出的功能等效为理论依据,用实例来证明诗歌翻译中实现节奏等效的重要性和必要性,进而阐明诗歌翻译与鉴赏中“节奏等效”原则。只有在翻译过程中再现原诗中的节奏美—也就是实现“节奏等效”才能更好地再现原作,并实现功能等效。

There is no doubt that rhythm plays an important role in the translating and evaluating of poetry. With the Chinese versions of three English poems as illustrations, and English versions of the Chinese poems, this paper argues that the realization of rhythmical equivalence is not only an essential part in poetry translations but also a valuable and crucial ingredient for the poetry evaluation.
