Through the study of representation of religious impetus in Australian writer Patrick White's novels, we find that owing to White's religious impetus behind all his books, White's pieces present dual expressive state: strong religious romantic characteristics and mysterious reason, which contribute to all White's novels with unique art attractiveness. With The Tree of Man, Voss, and The Eye of the Storm as a case study, this paper aims to discuss how subconsciously White's religious faith is transformed into his aesthetic principles in his writing.
