走和平发展的道路不仅符合中国自身发展需要和所处的国际环境,也符合中国思想文化传统和现代理念。历史证明,搞扩张,搞霸权,迟早要吃亏,要垮台。中国的崛起面临的是一场战略竞争、制度竞争;中国的崛起要走协调与合作之道,而非结盟之路。要把握好大局,首先要处理好中美关系;同时,着力化解诸如中印领土、钓鱼岛、南海等争端,构建稳定的周边战略环境。总的来说,中国近期面临国际环境是风险与机遇共存、协商与合作将会继续。

Taking the road of peaceful development not only conforms to China's development needs and international environment,but also accords with the traditional thoughts in Chinese culture and modern concepts.History has proven that engaging in expansion and hegemony will suffer losses and fail sooner or later.The rise of China faces competitions in strategies and institution.For its rise,China need take the path of coordination and cooperation rather than entering into alliance with other countries.To have a firm grasp of the overall situation,China need first handle the Sino-US relationship well.At the same time,it should intensify efforts to resolve the Diaoyu Islands dispute,the Sino-Indian territorial dispute and the South China Sea issue,so as to have a stable neighboring environment.In general,the international environment China faces in the short term is one where the risks and opportunities coexist and negotiation and cooperation will continue.
