Understanding "Chinese Dream" and Making People Live a Life with Dignity

"中国梦"不是没有根据的空想。中国梦的实现要落实在广大人民群众有尊严的生活实践当中,即实现尊严民生。理解和实现中国梦包含着三个基本原则:个人与国家的统一,理想与现实的统一,自信与实干的统一。根据这三个原则的要求,有尊严的民生不仅仅要依靠强盛的经济,更应该把国家和民族作为个人的第一尊严,由此才能构建尊严民生的基本路径。

The 'Chinese dream' is not a Utopian concept. Realizing it rests on making sure that the people live a life with dignity, that is, to secure a dignity-based livelihood. Understanding and realizing Chinese dream involves three basic principles: the unity of individuals and state, the unity of ideal and reality, and the unity of hard work and confidence. In accordance with the requirements of the three principles, a life with dignity not only relies on a strong economy, but more importantly, entails treating the state and the nation as the first dignity of the individuals. Only in this way can a basic pathway to make people live a life of dignity be created.
