去年徐秉方先生来访．我问起近年有无刻竹新人涌现。他说江南刻留青的大有人在，有的已达到一定水平，又讲到在工艺美术博览会上看到有刻圆雕的．很工细．颇具特色，据闻来自福建，名曰王新明。

The author introduces Wang Xinming,a member of the new generation of round bamboo carvers in Putian of Fujian Province,and his works.As an expert of bamboo, wood, tusk and horn carvings, the author points out that the works by the new man is no nferior to those of the Ming and Qing dynasties and his works should bear the signature of the carver. It also shows that there are successors to the round bamboo carving art.
