This paper analyzes 'excessive expansion' phenomenon which existing in our automotive industry according to choose some targets with regard to new automobile manufacturers, their industrial background and market situation, it also analyzes causes of excessive expansion in our automotive industry, finally puts forward a viewpoint of industrial regroup based on setting up leading enterprises, in order to solve excessive competition which is caused by excessive expansion.
