It introduced the case of marine vessels trying the B20 biodiesel blended fuel of the CNOOC New Energy Investment Co.This was the first time that a high percentage of biodiesel blended diesel fuel used for the engines in China.The 700 h trial showed that when using the B20 biodiesel blended fuel,the maximum detonation pressure,exhaust temperature and fuel consumption were not very different with suing fossil diesel.The overhauling and carbon observing on the cylinder head,fuel injectors,valves and other components were all normal,which indicated that the B20 biodiesel blended fuel can be used as ship's fuel safely.The article also discussed the issue of oil sludge and the muddy when using the B20 biodiesel blended fuel.
