略论当代大学生英语学习中的中国文化观——对《当代大学生与中国文化调查报告》的思考

On Contemporary College Students' View of Chinese Culture in English Learning——Thoughts on “Contemporary College Students and Chinese Culture Survey Report”

为了解当代大学生在英语学习中对中国文化尤其是中国传统文化的感知兴趣,课题组对湖北第二师范学院非英语专业的165名正在学习大学英语的本科学生进行了问卷抽样调查。分析结果表明,当代大学生在积极吸取外来先进文化的同时,也渴望能通过一些途径来提高自己的中国传统文化素养,增强用英语表达中国文化的能力。大学英语教学必须构建有中国特色的英语教学模式,教师在英语教学中须融入中国文化,进一步帮助当代大学生树立对本民族文化的认同感和自豪感。

The research group conducted a sample questionnaire,surveying 165 non-English major undergraduates who are learning English in Hubei University of Education in order to find out the contemporary college students' interests of Chinese culture,especially the interests of traditional Chinese culture in their English learning. The results show that college students are eager to improve their traditional Chinese cultural qualities while actively absorbing foreign advanced culture. Therefore,College English teaching mode must be constructed with Chinese characteristics. Teachers should add Chinese culture in English teaching in order to enhance students' ability to express Chinese culture in English.
