Language and culture are the factors affecting the process of translation.Translation is a means in cross-cultural and cross-language communication activities.Sound,vocabulary and grammar are the main components of any language,which may cause difficulties in translation because of their cultural connotations.Systematic understanding of the cultural difference in translation may help improve students' ability in translation and their cross-cultural communicative competence as well.
