Liu Wendian and Hu Shi are the famous scholars in modern times of China,and the friendship between the two is praised by the later generation. With the encouragement of Hu Shi in his early years,Liu Wendian soon made his great academic achievements. And Liu Wendian also supported Hu Shi's various opinions constantly; therefore,their friendship became more intimate.
