Generals of Yang Clan is a novel about famous general Yang Ye of Northern Han with some folk legends:after surrendering to Song dynasty,Yang Ye and his family fought bravely against Qidan and loyally protected North Song dynasty.This very novel was later created into many versions of opera scripts,widely spread and became a household one.However,it is of great significance to study this novel so as to probe into bordering ethnic relationship of Liao and Song,disclose the historic features of this time,spread bravery and patriotic spirits of the generals of Yang clan,establish right ethnic ideas,and carry on the excellent culture.
