A Review of Local Records Innovation from the Perspective of Local Records Development

修志是中华民族的优良文化传统,它与生俱来就具有自我更新能力。这种能力不断要求方志在现有基础上逐步完善,实现自我更新,即在继承传统方志基本体例的基础上,能够发现和运用最大限度反映地情的新方法、新手段,丰富和完善方志的表现形式。所以,方志的创新不是摆脱传统的基本体例另行创造一种新形式,而是要不断地实现自我更新,丰富和完善记述地情的表现方法和手段,以适应不断发展变化了的地情。方志之所以被称为方志,就是因为方志具备了横排门类、纵述史实、述而不论的基本体例。

Local records compilation is a fine cultural tradition of the Chinese nation.And it was horn with the capability of selfrenewal.This capability constantly demands gradual perfection and the realization of self-renewal on current footing,i.e.discovery and application to the fullest extent of new methods and new techniques to reflect local information,and to enrich and bring to perfection the forms of expression of local records.Therefore,local records innovation does not mean the demolishing from traditional basic styles and the separate creation of a new form,but rather the constant realization of selfrenewal,and the enrichment and perfection of forms of expression and techniques of local information recording so as to adapt to the constantly changing local information.The reason why local records are called local records is because local records have the basic style of horizontal arrangement of categories,vertical narration of historical facts,and narrations without argumentative contents.
