Summary of the Wade Manchu Documents from Cambridge University Library

剑桥大学图书馆分别1898年和1915年编印了一部馆藏中国文献目录,题为《剑桥大学图书馆藏威妥玛汉文与满文文献目录》和《剑桥大学图书馆藏威妥玛汉文与满文文献增补目录》,二者共著录与满文相关的文献68种。整理和翻译这两份目录为了解英国伦敦地区满文文献的收藏历史情况提供新资料,对熟悉英国汉学史发展历程具有重要的参考价值。

In 1898 and 1915,the Cambridge University Library published two catalogues'A Catalogue of the Wade Collection of Chinese and Manchu Books in the Library of the University of Cambridge'and 'Supplementary Catalogue of the Wade Collection of Chinese and Manchu Books in the Library of the University of Cambridge'of which 68 kinds of Manchu documents are recoded. We could not only understand the history of Manchu documents,but also acquaint the British history of Sinology by sorting out and translating these two catalogues.
