EMG analysis of critic illness polyneuropathy and literature review

目的分析9例危重病性周围神经病(critical illness polyneuropathies,CIP)患者的肌电图特点,为临床工作提供参考。方法回顾性分析9例CIP患者肌电图检查结果,结合文献复习、总结CIP特点。结果运动纤维神经传导检测波幅降低9例,传导速度减慢2例,末端潜伏期延长3例,感觉纤维神经传导检测波幅降低8例,传导速度减慢1例;9例均显示神经损害下肢重于上肢,神经源性与肌源性混合损害1例。结论 CIP肌电图表现具有多样性,肌电图检查对于该疾病的诊断、评估和及时、有效的治疗具有重要意义。

Objective Analysis of EMG characteristics of 9 cases of critical illness polyneuropathy was carried out to provide references for the clinical work.Method A retrospective analysis of 9 cases of CIP patients with EMG data combined with literature review was performed to summarize the characteristics of CIP. Result It was found that motor nerve conduction amplitude decreased in all 9 cases. Among them, decrease of conduction velocity were found in 2 cases and prolonged distal latency in 3 patients. Sensory nerve conduction amplitudes were also found decreased in 8 cases, and slowed conduction was found in one of them. All 9 cases showed that the nerve injury in lower limb was more severe than that in upper extremity limb, and 1 case exhibited the mixed neurogenic and myogenic injury. Conclusion As diversity presents in the EMGs of critical illness polyneuropathy, the early EMG examination of patients with critical illness polyneuropathy is significant for the timely diagnosis and treatment.
