摘要
大学教师服务工作可分为为学科的服务、为机构的服务和为社会的服务三种类型。运用混合研究方法对9所高校教师进行调查后发现,我国大学教师对"服务工作"的理解存在偏差。尽管为学科的服务得到大学教师的普遍认可和积极参与,但为机构的服务与行政事务之间缺乏明确区分,进而影响了大学教师学术工作的效率。此外,为社会的有偿服务作为大学筹措资金的一种渠道而普遍存在,但需要以"学术性"为原则进行规范。教师的服务时间因受其行政职位、职称、教龄和所属学科等因素的影响存在较大差异。对此,在大学内部应区分服务工作与行政工作,释放大学教师的学术活力;在大学外部应把握服务的"学术性"边界,保持大学与社会的理性距离。
Faculty service in China's Universities could be divided into such three categories as the service for disciplinary community,for institutions,and for society.Investigating the faculty in 9universities by using mixed methods,it found there was variance among the understanding of service.Serving for disciplinary community was accepted and participated by most of faculty;however,there lacked distinction between service for institutions and administrative work,obstructing the efficiency of academic work;although the paid service for society existed as a way of fund-raising,it needed to regulate with the rule of academic;service time of the individual varied greatly,which depended on their administrative position,academic ranking,teaching age and discipline.Therefore,it should clarify the service and administrative work,releasing the faculty's academic energy;it should maintain the academic boundary outside the university,keeping the rational distance between the university and society.
