Faith and Truth: the Disenchantment of Dao Tong

本文试图以西方现代史学理论为理论视域,对南宋道学道统论的成立与对其所作的批驳进行探讨,以探视其背后所映射出的经史关系以及经典诠释向度的转型。为此,本文着重分析了陈亮、叶适从历史角度对道统论的批驳及其对道统叙述所造成的影响。通过以上论述,可以看到在经史关系不平衡时,从历史角度对道统论所作的批判多属徒劳,无法从根本上破坏道统叙述。

In the perspective of the modern history theory,this paper analyzes the process of destroying of Dao Tong( 道统) by eastern Zhejiang practical school in the Southern Song Dynasty. This analysis will reveal the hierarchy between Jing( 经) and history,and the methodology transformation of hermeneutics,which are hidden in the disputation of Dao Tong. This analysis focus on the critique coined by Chen Liang( 陈亮) and Ye Shi( 叶适) and the influence of their discussion. The paper concludes that the critique of Dao Tong in historical orientation may have no effect in the era in the Southern Song Dynasty.
