严复的论述和启发:中国传统文化转化创新的路径与条件

Yan Fu's Discourse and Revelation: Approaches and Conditions of Transformation and Innovation about China's Traditional Culture

中国传统文化的现代性转化是一个历史性的重大课题,需要几代人付出极大努力才能完成。严复作为近代以来一位重要的思想家,其一生的主要使命之一就是完成这一课题。长期以来,学术界一直把严复仅仅作为一位引进西学的思想家,而忽视了他对传统文化转化的论述。本文重点对严复在这一方面的思想贡献予以总结。

The modern transformation of China's traditional culture is a great project,which needs several generations to finish. Yan Fu,an important thinker in modern times,wanted to finish this project in all his life. For a long time,Yan Fu is regarded as a thinker who introduced the Western ideas into China in the academic community,but his discourse about the transformation of China 's traditional culture is ignored. This paper discusses Yan Fu's contribution in this field.
