The Reasons and Contributions of the New Book Industry's Prosperous in the Early Republic of China

新书业指民国初期以出版新文艺和社会科学类新书为主的中小型出版机构。相对宽松的出版政策、出版商和作家的紧密关系以及五四新文化运动的兴起导致新书业繁荣。另一方面,新书业推动了新文化运动的深入,使共产主义思想得到传播,同时推动了期刊和文学的繁荣,为社会进步作出了贡献。

The new book industry meant the middle and small press had published new literature and social book specially. The relatively loose cultural policy, the close relation between author and publisher and 'Five four' New Culture Movement resulted in the prosperous of the new book industry in the early Republic of China. On the other hand,the new book industry promoted new culture movement, propagated the communism. Meanwhile, it resulted in the prosperous of the journal and literature and made a contribution to the social progress.
