Many main-stream Harlem writers found every possible excuse to criticize Zora Hurston and her works,leading to her silence for nearly three decades. This paper attempts to dig out the truth of all those criticism----her different racial ideology. Through studying her micro-autobiography Slavery Gave Me Nothing To Lose and other works,it analyzes the different racial ideologies among Hurston,Langston Hughes and Richard Wright and uncovers the sources of those differences.
